I’m delighted to announce that the price of the table was significantly reduced after the BETT Show in January 2010 by over £1,200 to £4,345. Although the table is easily moved around the school, it initially needs calibrating on arrival and special safety transportation for first time delivery. We offer the best value for this service at only £50. It’s a great time to buy!
Do you offer lease terms as a way to buy the SMART Table?
We offer operating leases into the education sector fully compliant to the prudential code of borrowing for schools. Based on a Smart Table and training package at £5500.00 + VAT the quarterly payment over 3 years (1+11 profile) would be £552.75 + VAT (this equates to £42.51 + VAT per week). How many students can use the SMART Table?
Yes, the SMART Table has large locking casters and can be rolled through standard-width doorways.
What type of technology does the SMART Table use?
The table’s multitouch, multiuser functionality is based on SMART’s patented DViT (Digital Vision Touch) technology, which uses digital cameras and sophisticated software to determine the contact of a finger, stylus, pointer or other object.
How does the table’s technology actually work?
Cameras, situated in the frame around the display, communicate position information back to a digital signal processor that determines the exact point of contact. No special tools or materials on the touch screen are required, making the display easy to use and the image crystal clear.
How can I use the SMART Table with other SMART products?
The SMART Table is ideal as a learning centre for small groups and can be used as a follow-up to whole-class activities initiated on the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. Activities for each table application can be created or customized to complement your own SMART Notebook lesson activities and Response or Senteo question sets.
Does the SMART Table Toolkit support multiple operating systems?
Yes. The SMART Table Toolkit is available for Mac and PC operating systems. This toolkit allows for activity creation and customization.
Are there any additional requirements for operating the SMART Table?
No. The SMART Table is ready to use right out of the box. It contains a customized PC and projection system. The table also comes with a standard set of interactive learning applications and interactive activities.
What applications come with the SMART Table?
The SMART Table comes with an initial collection of eight applications – Multiple Choice, HotSpots, Paint, Media, Addition, Puzzle and more. The applications include customisable activities for early primary students.
How do I create or customise activities for the various SMART Table applications?
Each table comes with a SMART Table Toolkit, which works with a Mac or PC operating system. Using the toolkit, you can customize existing activities and create new ones by altering backgrounds, questions and images. For example, you can create themed activities for any of the applications, and match them to any SMART Notebook lesson activity or Senteo/Response question set.
Will SMART provide more applications and activities for the SMART Table?
Yes. Activity packs are currently available as a free download on their educator resources page at www.smarttech.com/tableactivities. Additional activity packs and applications will be made available there and will be available as free and for-fee.
How can I add new applications and activities to the SMART Table?
You can add new applications and activities to the SMART Table by saving them to a USB key and connecting the key to the table’s built-in USB port.
Does the SMART Table support applications that are not designed to take advantage of multitouch and multiuser functionality?
Yes, applications that are limited to a single-user and single-touch capability can be used on the SMART Table, but they won’t support multitouch and multiuser functionality.
Does the SMART Table have network connectivity capability?
Yes, the table has an Ethernet port and can be connected to an existing network infrastructure. If you are connecting the table to your existing network, we suggest you install security measures such as passwords, firewall and virus protection.
How can I clean the SMART Table?
Looking after the SMART Table surface is easy – the screen is durable and can be cleaned with any non-alcohol-based household glass cleaner.

Can SMART Table be fixed to floor?
The wheels have locks on them making the table very stable whilst in use. There are always ways to secure the table to a surface of course but nothing is designed on the table for this specific purpose.
